This is a quick and easy donut recipe. You only need a few ingredients for some quick and yummy baked donuts!
Ingredients
-
1 Box Cake Mix, or ½ of 2 boxes like I did
-
1 Egg
-
¼ cup Oil
-
1 cup Water
-
2 cups Powdered Sugar
-
2 Tablespoons Water or Milk, add more water for thinner glaze, more sugar for thicker glaze
-
2 drops White Food Coloring, optional for more opaque color
-
1-2 drops Food Coloring, optional
-
Yum Crumbs, optional
Donuts
Glaze
Directions
Whisk the cake mix, egg, oil, and water together in a large bowl until well combined.
Spray the wells of a donut maker or donut pan/silicone mold with nonstick spray. Preheat oven to 350 if using donut pans or let donut maker heat up.
Fill the wells halfway full of batter, then close the lid and bake donuts for about 3 minutes, checking frequently. If using your oven, fill about 1/2 to 2/3 full. Bake in oven for about 10-12 minutes.
Remove to a plate or cooling rack to cool, and repeat with the remaining batter. Reapply nonstick spray if donuts start to stick.
To make the glaze, whisk in powdered sugar and milk or water, you may not need all of it. Whisk until glaze is smooth and somewhat runny.
Dip donuts into glaze, the dip in Yum Crumbs if using. Then drizzle with glaze for a little extra decoration.
Enjoy!
